beautiful creature
the beautiful creature ebbs with the lapping tide of psycosis,
tossed to shore it envelopes, tenderly, the soft warm sands.
pupils float in milky endless white, moist, as they swim to the surface in bliss.
the waves gnaw at its legs as the tide twists like vines, creepers, pulling and squeezing it towards the grey wall of sea.
suddenly it is pinned against it, firing squad, bullets, wounding the screaming air as they slash through it.
like maggots they burrow into it, twisting through the brain, destroying its mind.
the destructive wind as they fly blow the the last grains of sand from its small, delicate fingers
leaving only corkskrewing shadows flitting
across the cable-veined hand of a once beautiful creature.
